Kinnoworks is the trading name of KINNOTECH SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. We make a handful of everyday applications — notes, invoicing, movement — and we finish them the way a workshop finishes furniture, which is to say slowly and all the way to the edges.
KINNOTECH SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., trading as Kinnoworks, is a software company registered in Singapore and working out of Peninsula Plaza on North Bridge Road — an old building full of small specialist shops, which suits us better than a tower would.
We call ourselves a workshop rather than a studio because the word carries the right obligations. A workshop is judged on the finish of the last piece that left it, not on the size of its plans, and the person who made a thing is usually still around to repair it.
Our applications are deliberately narrow. Each one does a single job that somebody does every week — write something down, send an invoice, loosen a stiff back — and tries to do it in fewer taps than the thing it replaced.
We publish across the region and answer our own support mail in English. If a tool stops earning its place on your phone, we would rather you deleted it than kept it out of habit.
Applications for iOS, Android and the desktop, written small and kept small. We would rather delete a feature than add a settings screen to hide it behind.
Layout, type and language. Most of the effort goes into the sentences inside a product — a button label is read far more often than any marketing page.
